The International Organisation of Folk Art in Taiwan (IOV in Taiwan)
would like to have the pleasure to invite your esteemed group to participate
in the "Changhua International Traditional Arts Festival"
and "International Hand Drum Music Concert in Taipei" which
will be held from "December 8 to 18, 2001 in Taiwan, the Republic
of China.
The festival is organised by the Bureau for Cultural Affairs of Changhua
County Government, and executed by IOV Taiwan Section as the International
coordination unit. Traditional performing arts groups, especially groups
with a national instrument of hand drum will be invited this year. The
purpose of the festival is to promote the local cultural development
and to increase the awareness and appreciation of world cultural heritage.
The general guidelines are as follows:
The festival will provide a total amount of NT$250,000 for the international
airfare for a minimum of ten performers of the group.
The festival will provide local accomodation, food, and transportation
during the period of the Festival.
The Festival will provide a daily allowance of two hundred New Taiwan
Dollars (NT$200) to each participant for the period of Festival.
The group should be responsible for any in-land transportation in its
own country, passport fee, over-weight charge on personal luggagew,
and other personal expenses. Extra persons on their own expenses for
international airfare can be accepted and will be provided with the
same conditions during the Festival in Taiwan.
