"MAZU INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE FESTIVAL" -- TAIWAN - 2004

Wong Arts Corporation invited Nrityanjali Academy to participate
in "Mazu International Folk Dance Festival - 2004". The festival
was organized in Taichung County, in Taiwan, from 8th April to 19th
April 2004. Six artists from Nrityanjali Academy presented the Folk
and Tribal dances of Andhra Pradesh. Mathuri, Karshaka, Lambadi and
Bonalu were presented. The performances were organized on different
platforms like Taichung Cultural Centre, Mazu Festival and School of
Taichung. Dance groups from Japan, Philippines, South America, Tibet,
Ivory Coast and India participated in the Festival. Nrityanjali academy
stood first in all the performances and the team was awarded with "Best
Performance of the Festival".
The Print media and the Television media has applauded the dances and
were telecast live on the television.
