Andhra a Telugu cultural organization from San Francisco, California
invited Mr.Pedulla Narsing Rao and Mr.Pedulla Srinivas to train &
choreograph a dance ballet called "Manapandugalu" (Festivals
of Andhra Pradesh). The concept was developed by the Nrityanjali academy
specially Mr.Narsing Rao garu. Shri.Saikrishna scored the music, Shri.Bnim
did the Script, and costumes were designed by Nrityanjali Academy. The
backdrops were designed by Mr.P.Narsing Rao The Andhra Pradesh festivals
presented were Ugadi, Sriramanavami, Krishnastami, Vinayakachavathi,
Dassera, Diwali, Sankranthi and Holi. About 220 NRIs were trained on
the ballet for about 35 days.
The
NRIs trained were not professional dancers, but people belonging to
various sections of life like housewives, software engineers, students,
college students, working women etc. They had no earlier experience
of dancing. They were just selected and trained to dance. The dancers
aged from 12 yrs to 55 yrs.
On
8th of October on the eve of "Andhra cultural festival - 2003"
this musical ballet was presented. The show started from 1:00 PM in
the afternoon and extended till evening 9:00 PM. Out of the six presentations
in the show, the dance ballet was placed in the prime time of 8:00 PM.
The ballet was applauded by one and all.
At
the end of the show "Silicon Andhra Nritya Bharathi" Shri.Kuchibotla
Anand the founder president of Silicon Andhra felicitated both the brothers.
